GWS MOTORSPORT CHARGES TO BARCELONA

GWS Motorsport pairing Glenn Sherwood and Jamie Stanley return to the track in their Hankook-Tructyre Lotus Evora GT4 to contest this weekend's 24H Barcelona at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (2/3/4 September).

The dynamic duo will be joined by Adam Knight, who helped steer the team to 11th in class at the Dubai 24-hour earlier this year, and Adam Balon, who will replace final Dubai quartet member Ossy Yusuf.

Following their strongest endurance race showing to date in Dubai, GWS Motorsport has also enlisted the skills of Ben Clucas to enhance their charge for SP3 class honours. Clucas has pedigree in series including Pirelli World Challenge, the British GT Championship, and most recently the Dutch Supercar Challenge.

Having finished agonisingly close to the SP3 class top 10 in their first outing earlier this season, GWS Motorsport have been working incredibly hard to develop their Hankook-backed machine, focusing on making the car more consistent on long runs, which they hope to put to good use this weekend.

"It's great to be getting back in the car again, especially after all the hard work we've put in to make sure the car is in a good place for Barcelona," commented driver and team principal, Glenn Sherwood. "With the support and expertise of our partner Hankook, we're confident that we will be challenging for SP3 class honours."

"Dubai was a great start to our season, but we feel even better prepared for the 24H Barcelona," added GWS Motorsport pro-driver, Jamie Stanley. "We've learned a lot of lesson in testing, and Ben coming on board gives us a great shot at class victory."

Track action gets underway this Friday (2nd September), with live raceday coverage on Motors TV this Saturday (3rd September) from 13:00 BST.
